Thermocouple Cables
-Thermocouple Cables
What is thermocouple? Thermocouple or thermoelectric couple is a kind of electricity generator that by applying heat creates weak electric flow. Thermocouple working construction: Thermocouple is made of two non-homogeneous conductor or semiconductor metal rods welded from one end and two other ends are connected to a sensitive measurement device like Galvanometer. When the junction point gets warm, a weak flow passes through the circuit; after measuring and transforming this flow, we can measure temperature. Different kinds of thermocouples: As you may know, making connection between measurement device and thermocouple is done by using a cable called Thermocouple Cable. Thermocouple Cables should be homogenous to thermocouple and measurement device terminal; otherwise obtained statistics would be very different from actual statistics. Thermocouple Cables are manufactured according to various standards as follow: 1- Extension Cables - These cables are shown with (X) - e.g. KX Cable 2- Compensate Cable - These cables are shown with (C) - e.g. KCA or KCB Cable
